The Canalway Cavalcade is a waterside festival taking place in the canals of Little Venice
This Bank Holiday weekend sees the return of Canalway Cavalcade, a waterside festival taking place in the canals of Little Venice. Around 130 coloured boats are moored in the waterways between Warwick Avenue, Blomfield Road, and Warwick Crescent. There is a host of activities on, including a boat pageant, live music, market stalls, food and drink, children’s activities, Morris dancers, BBQ, competitions and parades. I checked it out on Sunday and really enjoyed myself. It’s still on today (Monday 2 May 2016) so get down there is you still can.
- The Canalway Cavalcade 2016 takes place from 30 April-2 May. 10am-6pm. Free. Nearest station: Warwick Avenue. For more information, visit the Inland Waterways Association.
