Cheers to Christmas! Where to sip London’s sweetest cocktails this festive season
In the run up to Christmas, it’s the busiest time in most Londoners’ social calendars. No doubt many friends will be meeting for a cocktail (or three) in one of the capital’s various bars. With so many venues, we’re spoiled for choice when it comes to places to drink. However, if you’re looking for something extra festive, why not sip on a Christmas-themed cocktail?

Clapham’s late night destination has recently had a more food-focused makeover. For December, they’ve given the beloved Espresso Martini a Christmas twist – the ‘Vanilla Espression’ (£9) including Cariel Vanilla Vodka, Tia Maria, Espresso and Sugar Syrup).
For a night out with a difference, head to Soho’s secret drinking den Cahoots, which recreates post-WW2 London in a ‘tube station’. The drinks menu is heavily influenced by wartime tipples. Their festive offering is ‘The Stocking Stuffer’ (Christmas spiced Bombay sapphire, signature almond mince pie sweet mix, sultana grapes infused with Martini Rosso, pink grapefruit, topped up with Bulmers pressed red grapes cider).
- Dirty Bones
American diner Dirty Bones have created a sweet festive concoction – ‘Mince Pie Bramble’ (Bombay Sapphire gin, lemon juice, brandy and port-infused mince pie reduction (£8).

Alfresco rooftop terrace bar – next to the restaurant on the top of Selfridges – has a special Christmas cocktail menu, including ‘Just At Illusion’, ‘Candy Cane’, ‘From Santa With Love’, ‘After Dinner Mint’, ‘Spiced Diamond’, ‘Winter Wish’ and ‘Hot Pear’, ranging from £10 to £15 each.

- Mango Tree
Contemporary Thai restaurant have created a festive treat for before or after your dinner. ‘Santa’s Passion’ (Port wine, passion fruit, Ginger, fresh lime, passion fruit syrup, ginger ale).

- Piste at Archer Street
Head downstairs at Soho’s Archer Street to their festive pop-up ski lodge bar Piste. Their festive tipples are the ‘Apres-Ski Sharer’ – Red Berry Ciroc with grand Marnier, lemon, winter grenadine and Cranberry juice topped with soda water; ‘The Alpine’ – Vodka, orange juice Kings gingers, gingerbread syrup and lemon juice served with a slice of organs on the rocks and the ‘Fall Line’ – Ciroc vodka, prickly pear, lemon Juice, red wine, maple syrup topped with a splash of lemonade and garnished with mix berries.

- Ray’s Bar
New late night bar located downstairs from the popular Voodoo Ray’s pizza place. ‘Spice World’ (£8) combines bourbon, chai, cream and spices.

Charles Dickens inspired Winter cocktail menu features ‘Belle’s Burnt Butter Alexandra’ (£14.50), made using Old Raj Gin, Burre Noisette Washed Geniver, White Chocolate Liquor, Vanilla Sugar, Cream and Nutmeg.

Cosy Brixton bar and restaurant is serving up two festive offerings from its ever-changing menu. ‘Smoked Cinnamon Manhattan’ (£7.25) featuring Buffalo Trace bourbon, Pun e Mes sweet vermouth, apple juice & homemade cinnamon syrup, infused with woodchip; and ‘Fig & Chestnut Bramble’ (£7.75) featuring Broker’s gin, briottet fig liquer, chestnut syrup, blackberries, apple juice and lemon.

Soho’s late-night drinking, dining and music venue has created a festive cocktail menu, with offerings including ‘The Grinch Who Stole The Fizz’, ‘Wardour Hot Punch’, ‘Nicholas Nightcap’, ‘Small Affair’ and ‘Miracle On 100 Wardour Street’, all £12.
