Sculpture in the City has returned to the capital’s Square Mile for its ninth edition. Launching on 27 June 2019 and running for one year, the free public art exhibition sees contemporary pieces dotted around the streets of the City of London. Among the UK and international artists taking part this year include Nathan Coley, Elisa Artesero, Nina Saunders and Lawrence Weiner. Previous visitors to last year’s exhibition will see some popular artworks, such as I’m Staying by Shaun C Badham and Bridging Home by Do Ho Suh still remain in situ. This wide variety of artwork will be situated near some iconic City sights, such as the Gherkin, the Leadenhall Building (aka the Cheesegrater) and Leadenhall Market.
- Sculpture In The City is on from now until June 2020. At various sites around the Square Mile. Nearest stations: Fenchurch Street, Monument or Liverpool Street. For more information and a map of the artworks, visit the Sculpture In The City website.
