Where to watch Wimbledon 2022 on the big screen in London
Where to watch the live action from SW19 with some atmosphere if you’ve missed out tickets to the real thing
After two summers of pared back events, big screens are back with a bang across the capital. Over this year’s Wimbledon tennis championships (27 June – 10 July 2022), a host of London’s spaces will be hosting pop-up, alfresco screening spaces. Most are free and feature nearby hospitality so you can drink and eat as you watch the live action from SW19. Be prepared to turn up early for a good spot, particularly in the last few days when the suspense amps up during the semis and finals.

Where to watch Wimbledon 2019 and other sports on the big screen in London
It’s that time of year again. The whole country goes tennis mad for two weeks as the Wimbledon tournament kicks off from 1-13 July. If you haven’t been lucky enough to get tickets, then you can still enjoy the action and get into the sporting spirit at one of the Wimbledon screenings on in the capital. As well as the action from SW19, there’s also a host of other sporting events over the summer, including Tour de France, The Ashes, the US Open and the Cricket World Cup. Many of the screenings are free, but seats aren’t usually reserved so it’s recommended to get there early if you want to a guarantee a good spot.

Wimbledon screenings in a festival setting at Big Screen on the Green
Sports screenings, live music, food and drink at Big Screen on the Green
If you’re a big fan of tennis, or perhaps just like the atmosphere surrounding the Wimbledon tournament, then Big Screen on the Green could be right up your street. Setting up at two stunning sites in south-west London will be a premium festival of sports, film and live music over 13 and 14 July 2019.
The weekend festival will be setting up in two locations. The first at Fulham Palace Private Gardens, a National Heritage site by the Thames. The second will be located at Morden Hall Park, the sprawling grounds of a Georgian manor house.
Big Screen on the Green will host live screenings of the Wimbledon Ladies and Men’s Singles and Doubles finals, as well as highlights of the Cricket World Cup Final and Formula 1 British Grand Prix. As well as the sporting displays, there will also be live music to keep you entertained during the breaks.
There will be a host of premium food and drink on offer, including a Champagne lounge, summer cocktails; gourmet food; and strawberries and cream. There will also be a VIP marquee available and a premium viewing zone for the best seats in the house.
The ticket-only event will raise money for several charities, including Parkinson’s UK and Mind, while supporting the National Trust. Big Screen on the Green will also be plastic-free this year with its sustainability partner the Ocean Bottle, committing to funding the collection of x1,000 ocean-bound plastic bottles per item purchased during the event.

Watch the action from Wimbledon on a floating pontoon in St Katharine’s Docks
It’s that time again… The FIFA World Cup kicks off on 14 June until 15 July, while Wimbledon is on from 2 – 15 July. They’re not the only sports on this summer, with the Tour de France, British Grand Prix and Royal Ascot also taking place. Around the capital, venues and parks are transforming into spectator villages with big screens broadcasting all the action live. Be aware, these screenings are likely to be incredibly busy, especially during England football games and finals, so get there early to guarantee a seat or entry. It’s that time of year again. When London goes tennis mad for a fortnight and it feels like you hear the words ‘Murray’ and ‘Djokovic’ on a hourly basis. With the fight for tickets set to be as tough as usual, many tennis fans will have to settle for watching the action on TV rather than in the flesh. So if you can’t reach the heady heights of Centre Court, why not see the likes of Murray in action with some atmosphere. A host of parks, spaces and bars are hosting Wimbledon screenings on the big screen – many alfresco – so you can enjoy the match while sipping Pimm’s and nibbling strawberries and cream.

Mac & Wild restaurant are transforming their terrace into an Andy Murray fan zone during Wimbledon with tennis on the big screen, grass courts and balls galore. This summer we have three big sporting tournaments to captivate the nation. The UEFA European football championships (10 June – 10 July), Wimbledon (27 June – 10 July) and the Rio De Janeiro Olympics (5 to 21 August). For those unable to get a ticket to one of the events, why not soak up the sporting atmosphere with an alfresco screening? You can’t watch the tennis without strawberries!
It’s that time of year again – when the country goes tennis mad for two weeks during the Wimbledon tournament. Due to work, money or luck, not all of us will be sitting in centre court watching the action for real in SW19. However, not to worry, as plenty of venues are getting in on the action if you wanted to match the game on the big screen with a bit of atmosphere. Some screens are even staying up a bit longer for the Tour De France, Ashes Test Matches, Grand Prix and Golf British Open Practice Day. Watch the sporting action on a pop-up screen this summer
This summer is a bumper for big sporting events – as well as the annual Wimbledon tournament, we also have the football World Cup and Commonwealth Games taking place. Thanks to geography, finances and boring old work spoiling the fun, most of us won’t get the chance to see the games in person. However, big outdoor screens will be popping up across the capital giving you the chance to watch the sporting action with like-minded fans, providing a lot more atmosphere (and hopefully sunshine) than you would get in your own front room.
